      Jessica joined the school in September 2016.  She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a 7-9 extension in English, as well as a Master’s Degree in Liberal Studies.  She has held a Maryland Teaching Certificate in grades K-12, and has 10 years of experience teaching and coaching children of varying grade levels in Harford and Baltimore Counties, as well as in a private school in Baltimore City. Most recently, she has enjoyed coaching her twins’ tee ball and soccer teams, as well as leading her oldest son’s den for Cub Scouts.

      Tammie joined WLCN in the fall of 2015. Her son attended WLCN in the 4-year old class, so she is very familiar with the co-op environment. Miss Tammie has four years of experience working with special needs children at a daycare center in Virginia. She has actively volunteered at her children’s schools, and she worked as a substitute teacher for her daughter’s elementary school in Texas. Miss Tammie has a certificate in Surgical Technology from Northern Virginia Community College.

      After 16 years of teaching at WLCN, Miss Carren retired in 2018. Carren was previously the Teacher/Director and taught the 2 year-old, 3-year-old and 4-year-old classes at WLCN.

      She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, as well as a Master’s Degree in School Guidance and Counseling. She also taught a 3-year-old class for a year and two summer programs at a Montessori school, and taught 1st and 2nd grades for five years in Montgomery County Public Schools.

      Carren would like to continue to help WLCN by serving as the Administration Specialist. She’ll manage WLCN’s state requirements and provide support to the Teachers and Board.

    I feel truly fortunate to have been a part of WLCN’s community.
