Twos Class
The two-year-old program enables very young children to become acquainted with and comfortable in a school environment. Parental involvement in this program is essential to a smooth transition to the school experience.

Class Objectives
Through a variety of play-based activities, children are given experience in the areas of social development, language arts, mathematics, science, music, art, and both fine and gross motor skills. In a typical class, students participate in circle time, indoor and/or outdoor free play, sensory activities, whole and/or small group instruction, craft time, and snack.

Irelynn Dunn
Lead Teacher/DirectorIrelynn Dunn
Lead Teacher/DirectorIrelynn is graduating from UMBC this fall with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a certificate in Early Childhood Education. She earned her 90 hour Preschool Child Care Certificate in 2019 and will be licensed to teach pre-K through 3rd grade this fall. Over the past four years, Ms. Irelynn has been involved in early childhood education through teaching, mentoring, and working with young children. Mentoring is a huge part of her identity! In addition to teaching, Ms. Irelynn enjoys coaching youth volleyball. She is looking forward to her first year as Lead Teacher/Director at WLCN!

Assistant TeacherWendy Greenfield has been involved in early childhood education for more than 16 years in Howard Co., both in the private and co-op settings. She is a wife, a mother to 5 kids and a Girl Scout leader. Her passions involve teaching, reading, animals, gardening and cooking.

Assistant TeacherTamara Heffner
Assistant TeacherTammie joined WLCN in the fall of 2015. Her son attended WLCN in the 4-year old class, so she is very familiar with the co-op environment. Miss Tammie has four years of experience working with special needs children at a daycare center in Virginia. She has actively volunteered at her children’s schools, and she worked as a substitute teacher for her daughter’s elementary school in Texas. Miss Tammie has a certificate in Surgical Technology from Northern Virginia Community College.
